NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENT

45 mins   |   £57.00

This appointment is for new patients requiring nail and skin care including nail cutting, ingrowing toenails, corns, callus.

A medical history and list of all medications will be taken. This is followed by a physical examination and a consultation based on your concerns.  A treatment plan can be agreed with you and treatment carried out during the appointment as appropriate.

Additional advice will be given to aid your recovery and to avoid future problems.  Should further tests or investigation be required, referral to an appropriate practitioner can be made.

Letters to General Practitioners - £15.

BIOMECHANICS ASSESSMENT

Up to 1 hour   |   £80.00

If you have foot, knee, leg, hip or lower back pain, or have difficulty walking then a biomechanical consultation is needed to assess your concern. This involves taking a history of the problem and assessing your overall body position and alignment.

The assessment also checks your footwear and the function of your lower limb joints as it is important that lower limb structures can move in a coordinated way for efficient movement and to avoid abnormal pressures.

I also carry out a gait analysis, which is the observation of you in motion to see if there is any way your body can be helped to improve your activity through rehabilitation or exercises.

If required, off-the-shelf or bespoke prescription orthotic devices will be advised (which carry an additional charge). They can help reduce abnormal stresses on tendons, ligaments, muscles, joints and bones, and improve the efficiency and function of lower limb structures.

ROUTINE PODIATRY

30 mins   |   £45.00

This appointment is for ongoing nail and skin care.

Nails are cut and filed, and any thickened nails reduced. Hard skin and corns are removed, and heels filed/sanded smooth. The treatment finishes with the application of a relaxing foot cream.

If you haven’t been before, you will be booked in for the 'New Patient Appointment'.

EXTENDED ROUTINE PODIATRY

45 mins   |   £57.00

For more difficult nails, e.g. multiple thickened nails, ingrowing toenails, heavy/extensive callus, multiple corns, an extended appointment is required.

Nails are cut and filed, and any thickened nails reduced. Hard skin and corns are removed, and heels filed/sanded smooth. The treatment finishes with the application of a relaxing foot cream.

If you haven’t been before, you will be booked in for the 'New Patient Appointment'.

TOENAIL SURGERY

From £360

£360 for one nail. £500 for two nails. The package includes two follow up appointments.

A £100 deposit is required at the time of booking.

An ingrowing toenail occurs when a spike of nail pierces the skin.  If the skin becomes infected as a result, you may need antibiotics to resolve the infection. For an ongoing problem or where conservative treatment has failed, nail surgery is a permanent solution.

A local anaesthetic is administered to allow removal of all or part of the nail. A chemical is then applied to prevent the nail or section of nail from growing back.

You will need to be assessed prior to the procedure by requesting a 'New Patient Appointment', as toenail surgery is not suitable for everyone.

BESPOKE ORTHOTIC DEVICES

£335.00

A cast / impression of your feet in a non-weight-bearing position is made.

Using the information obtained during your biomechanical assessment, a prescription is written and sent with the cast to the laboratory to make your bespoke orthotic devices. At the casting appointment a 50% deposit for your orthoses will be required as these are unique to your feet.

When they arrive you will be invited in to check the fit of your new orthotic devices in your footwear and to be given advice on wearing them in. You will receive a follow up telephone call a few weeks later to monitor your progress.

clearnail

CLEARANAIL – FUNGAL NAIL TREATMENT

 From £160.00

Clearanail is a process which uses a computer controlled micro drill to make tiny holes in nails without touching the skin beneath.

It is completely safe, painless and quick.

The holes allow a fungicidal spray to reach the infection on the skin beneath without the nail acting as a barrier.

This allows treatment of a fungal nail infection in a way that over-the-counter products cannot.

The price includes treatment of 1 or 2 nails, consumables and review appointments at 8 weeks and 16 weeks.

WARM WAX THERAPY

30 Mins   |   £50.00

Paraffin wax heat therapy increases blood flow, tolerance for pain, relaxes muscles and increases hydration in the skin. It promotes healing to sore and aching joints, making it particularly beneficial for those suffering from arthritis and rheumatic pain.  Other conditions that benefit from warm wax therapy include bursitis, eczema, psoriasis, scar tissue, muscle spasm, tendonitis. Or just book in for a ‘feel good’ treat!

Please note that the treatment is not suitable for those with open wounds, inflamed skin, poorly controlled diabetes, vascular disease, circulation problems and certain skin conditions including tumours.

Warm wax therapy may be combined with your usual routine podiatry for £78 inclusive.

VERRUCAE

£35.00 to £57.00

If you are a new patient, treatment with cryotherapy, salicylic acid or Verrutop can be commenced during the 'New Patient Appointment'.

Further information about verrucae and treatments can be found here.

VERRUCAE NEEDLING

£275

Faulknor’s needling is intended to break down the verruca and stimulate an immune response.  A local anaesthetic is required in order to puncture the verruca many times with a sterile needle. Further information about Faulknor’s needling can be found here. Often one treatment is successful but two may be required.

You will need to be assessed for suitability prior to the procedure by booking a 'New Patient Appointment'.

Further information about Faulknor’s needling can be found here.

HOME VISITS

It is always preferable for patients to come to the clinic if possible due to the availability of resources and equipment. However, if you are unable to attend the clinic, home visits may be available on request.

£60 for an individual. £99 for a couple at the same address.

Please telephone Julia directly on 07725 046214 to request a visit.

FINGERNAIL TRIM
